PRELIMINARY COMPETITION ...AUG 7th.
At the Union County Opry at the Union County High School in Maynardville, TN.
LAST DAY FOR ENTERING THE COMPETITION IS 11:59 P.M., July 31, 2025. (On August 1st, all competitors will be notified of a practice date and time. If you are not notified, call Kelly. Your application may have been lost in the mail or the clouds.
From the preliminary competition, SIX (6) FINALISTS will advance to the TALENT FINALS ON NOVEMBER 8th.
At the finals, judges will choose a 3rd place act who will receive $250. The act in 2nd place will receive $500.
The WINNER of the Regional Talent Competition will receive the title of "Entertainer of the Year", will perform at the Union County Opry throughout the next season, your name and contact information will be distributed to festival and event directors in all ten counties of the Cumberland Gap Region, a pair of one-day passes to Dollywood, and $1,000 cash.

The competition will follow an "America's Got Talent" format. There will be no separate categories for judging. Every performer will be judged in only one category..."talent."
All performing arts are welcome to enter:
VOCALIST: male or female solo singer, duet singers, trios singers, or bands.
INSTRUMENTALIST: Performer should provide their own instrument(s).
DANCER: Solo, duet, trio, or group.
STAND-UP COMIC: A microphone will be provided for you.
MISCELLANEOUS: If your talent does not fall into one of the four categories, you will be classified as Miscellaneous, i.e. reading poetry, marshal arts, live painting, acting: solo, duet, trio, group (performing a skit, excerpt from a play or movie), etc.
