FolkFest was founded in 1974 by the Townlift Committee as an event to highlight folk arts & crafts to promote the historic town of Cumberland Gap. The daylong event occurred on & off for twenty years and now, after nearly twenty years, FolkFest is BACK!!!

Join us on August 13th from 10am to 10pm for Appalachian demonstrators, Bluegrass Music, Traditional Appalachian Art Vendors and more! This event embraces our Appalachian roots while highlight all the talent, craftsmanship, and culture of the area. So come on down to the Gap for a day jam packed with entertainment, history, and all things Appalachia!
