Get ready to learn everything you need to know to be a better acrylic painter! Join Emily Taylor, local artist and adjunct professor at Lincoln Memorial University, for this 5-day workshop. In this workshop participants will learn the basics of painting by beginning with several quick, small studies exploring the action and interaction of color, the feel of the paint (it’s range of thin to thick), mixing color, using brushes, and other points of technique. These initial sketches will use a simple still life format. We will then move to larger canvasses with more developed compositions and a range of possible subject matter. All levels of experience are welcome.
