The 4th of July is upon us! It is a time to remember those that have served our country both past and present. We at Cove Lake State Park want our community and surrounding communities to join us for this event. On Wednesday July 3rd we will be having a flag retiring ceremony at 6:00 pm at Picnic Shelter #6.

If you have a flag that you would like to retire, please drop it off at the park office any day from 8:00 am-4:30pm before the event. Flags may also be brought to the event but please arrive before 5:45pm.

The ceremony will include guest speakers, explanation of what it means to retire a flag, and the retirement of all of the flags.

The ceremony is open to anyone and is free of charge.
