These week-long workshops introduce preschoolers to the basics of music (pitch, rhythm, and focused listening) in a fun movement-filled environment. Participants will explore the rich tradition of Appalachian music and storytelling through engaging and educational activities including guided play and dance. Led by spirited musician Rachel Schott, participants and their caregivers will use their imagination to go fishing, dance in autumn leaves, and hike with Daniel Boone through the Cumberland Gap!
These workshops are open to parents/guardians with children aged 3-5. Supplies provided. Meals not provided. Please plan ahead! Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
We will meet each evening in the Paul V. Hamilton Center for the Arts Gallery located in the Historic Town Of Cumberland Gap!
Scholarships also available! For more information contact Program Coordinator Tiffany Sánchez at tiffany.sanchez@lmunet.edu.
