Narrow Ridge Earth Literacy Center
1936 Liberty HIll Rd, Washburn, TN
Narrow Ridge welcomes friends and neighbors of all ages to join us as we celebrate the arrival of autumn in our Fall Equinox Celebration on the evening of Wednesday, September 22 at 7:00 pm.
This year's celebration will be led by Narrow Ridge intern, Stephanie Victoria, and will be held on our scenic overlook, Inspiration Point. We will meet at the Mac Smith Resource Center and, weather permitting, journey from there to our scenic overlook, Inspiration Point.
Guests are encouraged to wear shoes and clothing suitable to the weather conditions and the light uphill journey. Rides will be provided to individuals who are unable to journey on foot.
Participants are invited to bring a memento or item for 'show-and-tell' that represents the meaning of the Fall season in their lives. The sharing can take creative form such as a poem or story, or a specific material item or culinary dish that represents and celebrates Fall in Appalachia. Dress appropriately for the weather as the evenings are beginning to cool down a bit.
This is a family friendly, non-alcoholic event. Guests are invited but not required to bring a contribution for the snack table (finger foods only, please). For more information, please call 865-497-2753 or email community@narrowridge.org.
We hope you can join us. Bring a friend!
