The ALLM and Arts in the Gap invites the community to its first annual Winter Market at the the Pioneer Village! In the 19th century, wagons from Claiborne County traveled to Knoxville to get the goods needed for the Christmas season, When the wagons returned, families gathered to purchase what was needed for the special season. The community is welcomed to mark this historic tradition by shopping for homemade goods at the Winter Market. Additionally, two stations - one pottery-based and one painting based - will be available for children to purchase and make for their families. Visitors can pick up hot chocolate, apple cider, and/or coffee, and photographers will be on hand to take snapshots of families in the museum's seasonally decorated cabins.
